Auto Single Hit is a punching feature added in X1.4 that applies tooling to single-hit contours that perfectly match a tool. For example, you could use this feature to automatically tool a series of 0.75-inch holes with a 0.75-inch round tool, rather than manually applying each hit through another function.
To use Auto Single Hit:
- Make sure you have a part with internal contours that perfectly match the tools you have available.
- Go to the Parts or Nesting NC tab and click Single Punch > Auto Single Hit.
- From the sidebar choose whether to apply tooling to internal contours, external contours, or all selected contours.
- (Optional) Use the filters to choose which categories of tools may be used for Auto Single Hit.
Click and drag to window-select multiple contours, or click a single contour to select it.
Right-click or click the double check mark to apply tooling. If any exact matches are found, tooling is applied to the selected contour(s). If no match is found, no tooling is applied.
