The file that controls SigmaNEST color settings is called ColorScheme.ini and is located in your installation folder. Open your file explorer and browse to C:\ProgramData\SigmaTEK\[SigmaNEST Installation]. Finally, open ColorScheme.ini with a text editor.
**Note that the ColorScheme.ini file only controls the color setup for the schemes Dark Purple Gradient, Midnight, and Graphite. For the example of this article, we will be modifying the Dark Purple Gradient scheme**
There are 293 possible colors that can be defined through ColorScheme.ini. 0-42 and 257-292 are preset colors while 43-256 are known as “Web Safe Colors”.
Attached to this article is an Excel file showing every Numeric Value 0-292 mapped to its color and also that color’s representation in CSS and RGB.
To change a color in a Color Scheme via this method, first make sure you are using one of the Color Schemes defined in the ColorScheme.ini file (Dark Purple Gradient, Midnight, or Graphite). You can change the Color Scheme by opening the SigmaNEST Config dialog and changing the dropdown menu next to “Color Scheme”.
Now, with ColorScheme.ini open, you can change and variable to any color listed in the attached Excel file. Simply change the value (ex. “RightKerfCol=4” to “RightKerfCol=14”), save ColorScheme.ini, and reload your Config in SigmaNEST.
Now you have an alternate way to change colors in SigmaNEST.
